Taylor's first day of school

My big girl is going in to third grade...
I can't believe it. Time just flies by. She did her own hair and wanted no help from me. Sniff Sniff
I made her blueberry muffins, Ido this every year on the first day of school. They love them. The other pics are her just posing with her new outfit (thanks nan) and her new book bag.

Jamestown

Taylor has been asking to go to jamestown for months. Finally we were able to go the other day, right before the start of school. It was nice. They had fun. Rileigh slept most of the time so i don't have any pics of her.

Hilton Head in August

Yes, I am the worst blogger in the world!!
We went to HH with mom and dad again this year. What a great week. Nice weather (only rained one day). We saw lots of alligators this year. Zoe had a great time in the sand at the beach (i can't get the sand out of her bathing suits). Taylor got Gregg Russell to sign a movie she bought ( he is this guy who sings under a tree for the kids everynight). The last day when we were getting out of the ocean Zoe got stung by a jellyfish, this is one picture. It got both legs. I never saw it but it must have been a beast because you can still see it on both legs and it has been like 3 weeks. Poor baby

Taylor's Surgery

Taylor had her tonsills out monday July 7th. She did very well. Tuesday she hurt alot, i think that was our worst day. Friday she got thrush (more medicine). She didn't eat much until the next monday. She is so skinny. Finally she is eating and feeling pretty normal. Glad that is over with. Hopefully no more strep throat ;)

Nags Head

We went on our yearly trek to Nags Head with Jason's family this year. Zoe loves the beach. Everyday she would wake up and beg to go. We went to the N.C. aquarium this year ( the last pic). It was small but nice, the girls had fun.
Merilyn bought Lilly and Rileigh a swing for our house. THANKS!! This is Rileigh's first time in it. She loved it. Oh Yeah, check out Zoe's boots. She loves them and always wears them, even after a dip in the pool.
Tony, Carol and family came to visit. We had a nice few days. Here Taylor, Zoe, Mike and Nicole are getting tan after a swim.

Puddywood

Time for our annual camping trip at Christy and Larry's, a.k.a. Puddywood. Of course we had a great time. Taylor and Zoe couldn't get enough of the 4 wheelers. Taylor actually drove it by herself (thanks tyler!) My cousin Scott will be contributing to the Burger Clan in july with a new baby girl so we had a shower for him. We were hoping for a surprise but it is hard to keep it quiet and he found out. But, let me say it is so funny giving a guy a baby shower. They are so different than girls. He was a trooper though and got lots of good stuff to help out in his adventure of fatherhood. The top pic is all the younger cousins.

Kacey and Andy

My cousin Kacey got married in Nags Head. What a beautiful week. The wedding day was wonderful. Thanks for a great time!!

Zoe hat parade

This is the hat parade at zoe's school. They sang a little song and walked around. she has one year left at dppk then off to dutrow.

Daisy Duke

Daisy turned 9 years old this may 1st. She is hanging in there and healthy for the most part. What a wonderful girl.

Blueberry Gap Farm

it was a beautiful day out so we went to BBGF for the day. the girls had a great time. it was packed with tons of kids. They got to feed the horses and deer. I through in that peacock pic because he is so pretty

Rockets

Taylor is taking soccer this spring. Actually, since i am so slow at updating my blog, the season is almost over. She is doing good for her first time. She got hit in the face a few games ago and now is very timmid. I hope she overcomes this soon.

Snapping Turtles

Last year we saw a large snapping turtle in our front yard flower bed laying eggs.
Today Zoe and Jason saw a hole and something moving in it. These turtles came out.
This Zoe holding one of the baby turtles. She was so excited.
We kept watching the hole and eventually all the turtles came out. The finally count was 12. Who knew that many could fit in such a small hole.
This is Jason and Zoe taking the turtles down to the lake and setting them free.

Easter Day

Getting ready to leave for church.

Taylor looking for eggs at there Grandma's annual easter egg hunt. About 2 hours after this she said her head and throat hurt and had a fever. Jason took her to the doc in the box and guess what.... Strep throat. Man, this girl has had it all this last month. Poor thing.
Zoe checking out what she got at her nanny and gookies. Mariposa! She was so excited.

Egg Dyeing

Thursday we decorated eggs at mom's. I had to work this weekend so this night worked best. The girls had a good time and the eggs were pretty.

Rileigh slept during most of the dying time but she came in at the end for a picture with her egg.
Dustin got a little thirsty so he had to drink the dye. YUMMO

Happy Birthday Danielle

We had a surprise party for Danielle's 30th bday last friday. I think it turned out nice. She had no idea. But considering it was a month late how could she have known. hehe

SICKNESS

Sorry no pictures lately. Taylor and Jason have been sick all week. So far Zoe and I are avoiding whatever is going around. Hopefully we will not get whatever they have.
